Take advantage of this new-mindset and this new way of thinking for finding happiness in your career with Trunk’s insightful and well-thought out advice. While this book was an easy and quick read with some of her usual insightful quirks, I was disappointed. When you break resume rules you look like you don’t know them. Are you taking long lunches? While the prevailing opinion of gen-y’ers tends to think of us as self-entitled brats with overly stroked egos and “self-esteems”, Penelope Trunk acknowledges and teaches our generation to take advantage rulds our self-confidence, and corresponding fir sets and abilities in the new job marketplace.
But this crotchety gripe aside, there is some great stuff in Brazen Careerist that you won’t find anywhere else. Do you keep your succfss neat to the point of looking like you don’t have enough to do?

The book is targeted at year-olds but I bet even the year-olds already know most of Part One, which gives basic advice about job hunting, resumes, interviewing, etc. I adore Boston Globe columnist and blogger Penelope Trunk, so you can imagine when she personally, yes! I guess I enjoyed the book. Delegate to make more time for yourself. Here Penelope leaves behind the basic job-searching advice and shares what she learned from some very intense years in Corporate America. This book is best for the Y-generation who have been in the workforce less than 5 years.
