Since it’s her debut effort, a healthy length and part one of a series I’m leaning towards forgiving her this once and seeing what happens in part two. Aimee added her own touch to the old-as-dirt battle between Heaven and Hell and I particularly liked the original way a good guy was to defeat the bad guys.

In that same vein, the passage of time felt clunky during parts of the story. I liked the different sort of angel and devil lore being used, and really found myself drawn to some of the characters. We will not have this one in store. As Hav Haven Terra is a brainy, shy high school outcast. All of the human sacrifice and murders became repetitive to me as a reader and therefore less effective as plot devices the more they were used.
Sometimes, I was irritated by her constant self-depreciating illukinate, but these came less frequently as the book continued on and were generally understandable, not pointless whining. And the name of the character that i hated was Sabine.
Ai,ee don’t find out a whole lot about her supposed powers or purpose either. Can we really trust him? Other books in the series. This book has an amazing world where the people are being manipulated, love, lust, the hot bad boy, the cute good boy and TONS wgresti drama and betrayal. Another plus, is the idea of Metamorfosi or the middle ground between going to back to Hell or choosing Heaven.
